SKD11 is the Japanese designation for the high carbon, high chromium cold work steel that ASTM A681 prints as D2 and EN ISO 4957 prints as 1.2379. Buyers working to JIS print SKD11 on the drawing, and the certificate comes back under whichever designation the mill works to.
