A nitreta\u00e7\u00e3o por plasma, tamb\u00e9m chamada de nitreta\u00e7\u00e3o i\u00f4nica, \u00e9 realizada em uma c\u00e2mara de v\u00e1cuo, onde uma descarga de alta tens\u00e3o forma um plasma que impulsiona \u00edons de nitrog\u00eanio para dentro da pe\u00e7a. O a\u00e7o para moldes pl\u00e1sticos P20 \u00e9 outro candidato comum. Uma camada nitretada atinge aproximadamente 65-70 HRC e at\u00e9 cerca de 1100 HV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">O ponto a ser controlado \u00e9 a camada branca, uma fina camada composta de nitretos de ferro na superf\u00edcie mais externa. Ela \u00e9 muito dura, mas tamb\u00e9m quebradi\u00e7a, podendo lascar ou estilha\u00e7ar sob impacto. Para trabalhos sens\u00edveis a trincas, como moldes de fundi\u00e7\u00e3o sob press\u00e3o, a camada branca deve ser minimizada ou removida, o que a nitreta\u00e7\u00e3o por plasma moderna realiza com efici\u00eancia. Se o molde for submetido a cargas de choque, discuta o controle da camada branca com a empresa de tratamento t\u00e9rmico antes da entrada das pe\u00e7as.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-physical-vapor-deposition-pvd\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Deposi\u00e7\u00e3o F\u00edsica de Vapor (PVD)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A deposi\u00e7\u00e3o f\u00edsica de vapor (PVD) \u00e9 um processo a v\u00e1cuo de baixa temperatura que deposita uma pel\u00edcula cer\u00e2mica fina e ultradura na superf\u00edcie do molde. Dentro de uma c\u00e2mara de alto v\u00e1cuo, um alvo s\u00f3lido \u00e9 atomizado por evapora\u00e7\u00e3o a arco ou pulveriza\u00e7\u00e3o cat\u00f3dica; o metal vaporizado reage com um g\u00e1s como nitrog\u00eanio ou carbono, e o composto se condensa no molde. As pel\u00edculas mais comuns s\u00e3o nitreto de tit\u00e2nio (TiN, de cor dourada), carbonitreto de tit\u00e2nio (TiCN), nitreto de alum\u00ednio e tit\u00e2nio (TiAlN) e nitreto de cromo (CrN). Esses revestimentos t\u00eam apenas cerca de 2 a 5 \u00b5m de espessura e frequentemente ultrapassam 70 HRC, conferindo extrema dureza superficial sem comprometer as toler\u00e2ncias rigorosas do molde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Duas propriedades tornam a deposi\u00e7\u00e3o f\u00edsica de vapor (PVD) f\u00e1cil de integrar a um fluxo de trabalho de ferramentas acabadas. Ela opera a temperaturas entre 200 e 550 \u00b0C, abaixo da temperatura de revenimento da maioria dos a\u00e7os-ferramenta, permitindo que um molde totalmente temperado e acabado seja revestido sem amolecimento, distor\u00e7\u00e3o ou qualquer tratamento t\u00e9rmico p\u00f3s-revestimento. Al\u00e9m disso, como a deposi\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 um processo de linha de vis\u00e3o direta, os \u00e1tomos se movem em linha reta, de modo que geometrias complexas e cavidades profundas exigem dispositivos rotativos para um revestimento uniforme, e furos cegos verdadeiros ainda representam uma limita\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">O a\u00e7o base determina se um revestimento PVD resistir\u00e1. A pel\u00edcula \u00e9 fina e r\u00edgida, portanto, o substrato subjacente deve ser suficientemente duro para suportar a carga sem deformar. O m\u00ednimo pr\u00e1tico \u00e9 em torno de 43 HRC. Em um substrato mais macio, o revestimento flexiona com o a\u00e7o e trinca, a falha conhecida como efeito casca de ovo. \u00c9 por isso que a\u00e7os para trabalho a frio, endurecidos at\u00e9 valores entre 50 e 60 HRC, como D2 ou A2, s\u00e3o bons substratos para PVD, enquanto uma base de molde macia n\u00e3o. Quando o suporte do n\u00facleo \u00e9 limitado, utiliza-se um tratamento duplex: o molde \u00e9 nitretado primeiro para criar uma camada de suporte e, em seguida, recebe o revestimento PVD. O acabamento superficial tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 importante. O molde deve ser polido at\u00e9 obter um acabamento fino, com uma rugosidade m\u00e9dia (Ra) inferior a 1 \u00b5m, antes da aplica\u00e7\u00e3o do revestimento, pois sali\u00eancias e sulcos criam concentra\u00e7\u00f5es de tens\u00e3o que causam a falha da pel\u00edcula.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-hard-chrome-plating\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Revestimento de cromo duro<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A cromagem dura \u00e9 um processo de galvanoplastia que confere alta dureza superficial, baixo atrito e boa resist\u00eancia \u00e0 corros\u00e3o aos moldes. O cromo \u00e9 depositado a partir de um banho de \u00e1cido cr\u00f4mico a baixa temperatura, em torno de 60-70 \u00b0C. Para moldes de pl\u00e1stico, a camada tem tipicamente de 5 a 13 \u00b5m, embora dep\u00f3sitos muito mais espessos, de at\u00e9 cerca de 0,25 mm, possam ser aplicados para recuperar e reconstruir superf\u00edcies de moldes desgastadas. A dureza ap\u00f3s a cromagem varia aproximadamente de 62 a 72 HRC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A principal vantagem do cromo \u00e9 a facilidade de desmoldagem. Ele reduz o coeficiente de atrito, melhorando o fluxo do material para a cavidade e facilitando a eje\u00e7\u00e3o da pe\u00e7a. \u00c9 a escolha padr\u00e3o para moldes de inje\u00e7\u00e3o de pl\u00e1stico que utilizam resinas corrosivas como o PVC, onde o g\u00e1s \u00e1cido clor\u00eddrico liberado durante a moldagem atacaria o a\u00e7o. O cromo protege a cavidade desse ataque.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Existem limita\u00e7\u00f5es reais. Qualquer arranh\u00e3o ou irregularidade no molde fica vis\u00edvel atrav\u00e9s do revestimento e \u00e9 amplificado por ele, portanto, um polimento de alta qualidade antes do revestimento \u00e9 obrigat\u00f3rio. Os a\u00e7os-ferramenta podem sofrer fragiliza\u00e7\u00e3o por hidrog\u00eanio durante o revestimento, o que exige um tratamento t\u00e9rmico posterior para aliviar esse problema. O cromo tende a lascar ou descascar em arestas vivas, sendo, portanto, inadequado para geometrias com arestas cortantes ou onde o pl\u00e1stico cont\u00e9m cloretos retardantes de chama. Al\u00e9m disso, como o revestimento uniforme de cavidades profundas depende de \u00e2nodos conformes, geometrias internas muito complexas s\u00e3o dif\u00edceis de revestir uniformemente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-matching-the-treatment-to-the-steel\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Combinando o tratamento com o a\u00e7o<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">O a\u00e7o base n\u00e3o \u00e9 um detalhe a ser definido ap\u00f3s a escolha do tratamento. As duas decis\u00f5es est\u00e3o interligadas. A nitreta\u00e7\u00e3o requer um teor de liga formadora de nitreto em a\u00e7os como H13, D2 e A2. A deposi\u00e7\u00e3o f\u00edsica de vapor (PVD) necessita de um substrato suficientemente duro para suportar uma pel\u00edcula fina e r\u00edgida, o que exclui bases macias e favorece a\u00e7os para trabalho a frio e a quente devidamente endurecidos, ou uma combina\u00e7\u00e3o de nitreta\u00e7\u00e3o e PVD. A cromagem depende de uma superf\u00edcie limpa e \u00edntegra que proporcione uma deposi\u00e7\u00e3o uniforme.
