La familia 1.2714\/L6 sigue el camino opuesto. Una mayor base de carbono combinada con n\u00edquel aumenta la tenacidad y retrasa la aparici\u00f3n de grietas ante impactos mec\u00e1nicos repentinos. Esto se logra sin los elementos formadores de carburos que confieren al H13 su resistencia al calor. Esta \u00fanica diferencia en el dise\u00f1o de la aleaci\u00f3n explica pr\u00e1cticamente todas las diferencias de rendimiento entre ambas familias de acero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-where-the-performance-actually-diverges\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Donde el desempe\u00f1o realmente diverge<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El tiempo de contacto entre la matriz y la pieza de trabajo es la variable que diferencia ambas aplicaciones, y explica por qu\u00e9 la misma relaci\u00f3n de compromiso en la composici\u00f3n produce resultados tan diferentes en la pr\u00e1ctica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cuando una matriz permanece en contacto con metal caliente durante un per\u00edodo prolongado, como en el forjado por prensa o la fundici\u00f3n a presi\u00f3n, el calor se acumula en el interior del acero para herramientas y tiende a ablandarse. El acero H13 resiste este proceso mediante un endurecimiento secundario. Su estructura de carburo le permite mantener una dureza de aproximadamente 50 HRC incluso despu\u00e9s de una exposici\u00f3n prolongada a temperaturas de entre 500 \u00b0C y 550 \u00b0C. El acero 1.2714 carece de un mecanismo comparable. Al exponerse a calor sostenido, se ablanda r\u00e1pidamente debido a la falta de molibdeno y vanadio necesarios para un endurecimiento secundario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La misma exposici\u00f3n al calor tambi\u00e9n determina la resistencia al agrietamiento t\u00e9rmico, el patr\u00f3n de fisuras superficiales causado por la expansi\u00f3n y contracci\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica repetidas. El H13 es la opci\u00f3n est\u00e1ndar para moldes de fundici\u00f3n a presi\u00f3n refrigerados por agua precisamente porque tolera bien este ciclo. El 1.2714 no; el contacto repetido con el metal l\u00edquido y el enfriamiento r\u00e1pido provocan agrietamiento t\u00e9rmico mucho m\u00e1s r\u00e1pidamente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La tenacidad al impacto invierte la comparaci\u00f3n. El forjado con martillo produce golpes de alta velocidad con un tiempo de contacto muy corto, por lo que la superficie del troquel absorbe menos calor pero sufre un choque mec\u00e1nico mucho mayor. Aqu\u00ed es donde el 1.2714 se comporta mejor que el H13. Al trabajar con una dureza menor, t\u00edpicamente de 35 a 40 HRC, y reforzado por su contenido de n\u00edquel, el 1.2714 resiste la fragilizaci\u00f3n por temple y soporta impactos fuertes repetidos en bloques de troqueles masivos. El H13 sigue siendo tenaz para un acero altamente aleado. Sin embargo, en secciones muy grandes puede ser propenso a la segregaci\u00f3n de carburos en los l\u00edmites de grano si la velocidad de enfriamiento durante el temple no se controla estrictamente, lo que aumenta el riesgo de agrietamiento bajo las mismas condiciones de impacto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La resistencia al desgaste sigue el mismo patr\u00f3n. A temperaturas elevadas, los carburos de vanadio del H13 le confieren una clara ventaja, y la nitruraci\u00f3n aumenta su dureza superficial por encima de 1000 HV para aplicaciones erosivas. El 1.2714 presenta un desgaste razonable a bajas temperaturas debido a su mayor contenido de carbono, pero esta ventaja se reduce dr\u00e1sticamente al aumentar la temperatura. La nitruraci\u00f3n puede elevar su dureza de trabajo a entre 55 y 60 HRC, \u00fatil para matrices de forja, pero insuficiente para soportar un desgaste severo en extrusiones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-heat-treatment-reflects-the-same-split\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">El tratamiento t\u00e9rmico refleja la misma divisi\u00f3n<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El acero H13 requiere austenizaci\u00f3n a 995 \u00b0C a 1030 \u00b0C para disolver sus carburos de aleaci\u00f3n, seguida de un doble o triple revenido a 540 \u00b0C a 650 \u00b0C para convertir la austenita retenida y activar el endurecimiento secundario. Debido a que se endurece completamente en aire est\u00e1tico, incluso en secciones grandes, la distorsi\u00f3n y las tensiones residuales se mantienen bajas, y la dureza de trabajo suele estar entre 40 y 53 HRC, seg\u00fan la severidad del servicio. Sin embargo, las secciones m\u00e1s grandes suelen templarse en aire para reducir el riesgo de agrietamiento, y las piezas peque\u00f1as pueden templarse en agua para obtener una capa endurecida. Para matrices de trabajo en caliente, se suele suministrar pretemplado con una dureza de entre 331 y 375 HB (aproximadamente 35 a 40 HRC), lo que simplifica la fabricaci\u00f3n de matrices y reduce el coste de utillaje para el comprador.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-matching-the-grade-to-the-process\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hacer coincidir el grado con el proceso<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La cuesti\u00f3n de la selecci\u00f3n se reduce a determinar qu\u00e9 modo de fallo supone una mayor amenaza para el chip: el ablandamiento y el agrietamiento por calor debido a una carga t\u00e9rmica sostenida, o el agrietamiento por impactos mec\u00e1nicos repetidos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">H13 es la opci\u00f3n correcta para matrices de fundici\u00f3n a presi\u00f3n, n\u00facleos, pasadores eyectores y manguitos de inyecci\u00f3n en fundici\u00f3n de aluminio, magnesio y zinc, para herramientas de extrusi\u00f3n en caliente, incluyendo matrices, revestimientos de prensa, mandriles y bloques ficticios, y para matrices de forja de prensa donde el tiempo de contacto prolongado introduce el calor profundamente en la herramienta. Tambi\u00e9n ofrece un buen rendimiento en herramientas de trabajo en fr\u00edo, como matrices de troquelado, punzones, cuchillas de corte y matrices de recorte, as\u00ed como en piezas de maquinaria expuestas a cargas de choque severas, incluyendo mandriles, piezas de embrague, husillos, levas, mandriles y trinquetes. En grandes bloques de matrices de forja por martillo, la aleaci\u00f3n 1.2714 suele durar m\u00e1s que la H13, simplemente porque resiste la rotura bajo fuertes golpes repetidos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ninguno de los dos grados es una soluci\u00f3n universal para trabajos en caliente.
