El D2 es un acero para herramientas de trabajo en fr\u00edo de alta aleaci\u00f3n y alto contenido en cromo, dise\u00f1ado para ofrecer resistencia al desgaste y estabilidad dimensional. El 1095 es un acero de alto contenido en carbono sencillo, apreciado por su facilidad de tratamiento t\u00e9rmico, afilado sencillo y buena tenacidad con dureza moderada. Las secciones siguientes presentan cada acero individualmente y luego los comparan directamente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-d2-tool-steel\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Acero para herramientas D2<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-classification-and-composition\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Clasificaci\u00f3n y composici\u00f3n<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El acero D2 es un acero para herramientas de trabajo en fr\u00edo, endurecible al aire, con alto contenido de carbono y cromo. Su composici\u00f3n t\u00edpica es de entre 1,40 y 1,60 por ciento de carbono, entre 11,0 y 13,0 por ciento de cromo, entre 0,70 y 1,20 por ciento de molibdeno y entre 0,50 y 1,10 por ciento de vanadio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-properties\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Propiedades<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El alto contenido de cromo y carbono forma un gran volumen de carburos M7C3 duros y ricos en cromo. Estos carburos confieren al acero D2 una excelente resistencia a la abrasi\u00f3n. Sin embargo, estos mismos carburos reducen la tenacidad, por lo que el acero D2 presenta una tenacidad de moderada a baja en comparaci\u00f3n con aceros para herramientas de impacto como la serie S.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tras el tratamiento t\u00e9rmico, el acero D2 alcanza una dureza de trabajo de aproximadamente 58-60 HRC. Gracias a su endurecimiento al aire, presenta una excelente estabilidad dimensional, con muy poca deformaci\u00f3n durante el proceso. Esta combinaci\u00f3n de resistencia al desgaste y estabilidad es la raz\u00f3n por la que se utiliza en herramientas para series largas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El acero D2 es dif\u00edcil de mecanizar y rectificar, con un \u00edndice de maquinabilidad de aproximadamente 45 en una escala de 100 para un acero al carbono endurecible por agua con un 1 % de carbono. Tambi\u00e9n es dif\u00edcil de soldar y, por lo general, no se suelda mediante m\u00e9todos convencionales debido a su alto contenido de carbono y carburos. Con aproximadamente un 12 % de cromo, el D2 resiste mejor la corrosi\u00f3n que el acero al carbono com\u00fan, pero no es inoxidable, ya que gran parte del cromo se encuentra ligado a los carburos en lugar de disuelto en la matriz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-heat-treatment\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tratamiento t\u00e9rmico<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El acero D2 se austeniza a aproximadamente 1010 a 1040 \u00b0C (1850 a 1900 \u00b0F) y luego se enfr\u00eda al aire. Normalmente se templa dos o tres veces, en el rango de aproximadamente 205 a 540 \u00b0C (400 a 1000 \u00b0F). Se puede utilizar un templado m\u00e1s alto, alrededor de 480 a 515 \u00b0C (900 a 960 \u00b0F), para el endurecimiento secundario. El sobrecalentamiento durante la austenizaci\u00f3n aumenta la cantidad de austenita retenida, lo que reduce la dureza final. El procedimiento completo se describe en el <a href=\"https:\/\/aobosteel.com\/es\/d2-tool-steel-heat-treatment-guide\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/aobosteel.com\/d2-tool-steel-heat-treatment-guide\/\">Gu\u00eda de tratamiento t\u00e9rmico D2<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-typical-uses\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Usos t\u00edpicos<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El acero D2 se utiliza ampliamente para punzones y matrices de troquelado y conformado en fr\u00edo, punzones de perforaci\u00f3n, herramientas de corte y recorte, y otras herramientas de estampado de larga duraci\u00f3n donde la resistencia al desgaste controla la vida \u00fatil de la herramienta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-1095-carbon-steel\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Acero al carbono 1095<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-classification-and-composition-0\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Clasificaci\u00f3n y composici\u00f3n<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El acero 1095 es un acero simple con alto contenido de carbono y sin aleaciones significativas. Su composici\u00f3n t\u00edpica oscila entre el 0,90 y el 1,03 por ciento de carbono y entre el 0,30 y el 0,50 por ciento de manganeso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-properties-0\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Propiedades<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La dureza del acero 1095 se desarrolla casi exclusivamente mediante la transformaci\u00f3n martens\u00edtica durante el temple, sin los carburos de aleaci\u00f3n ni el endurecimiento secundario que caracterizan al acero D2. Templado, puede alcanzar aproximadamente 65 HRC, y para la mayor\u00eda de las aplicaciones, se somete a un revenido hasta alcanzar entre 56 y 60 HRC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Debido a su matriz simple y pobre en carburos, el acero 1095 es f\u00e1cil de afilar, adquiere un filo muy afilado y ofrece buena tenacidad para un acero al carbono simple con dureza moderada. Sus debilidades se derivan de esa misma simplicidad. Su resistencia al desgaste es menor que la del D2, ya que no contiene carburos de aleaci\u00f3n dura, y su resistencia a la corrosi\u00f3n es baja; el 1095 se oxida f\u00e1cilmente si no se cuida. Es mecanizable y se puede soldar con cuidado, aunque su alto contenido de carbono requiere precalentamiento y enfriamiento controlado para evitar el agrietamiento por hidr\u00f3geno.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-heat-treatment-0\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tratamiento t\u00e9rmico<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El acero 1095 se austeniza a una temperatura de entre 790 y 845 \u00b0C (1450 y 1550 \u00b0F), se enfr\u00eda en agua o aceite y, posteriormente, se templa hasta alcanzar el equilibrio deseado entre dureza y tenacidad. Sus carburos de cromo mejoran la resistencia al desgaste y la estabilidad dimensional durante el endurecimiento. Sin embargo, es m\u00e1s dif\u00edcil de mecanizar y afilar, adem\u00e1s de ser m\u00e1s fr\u00e1gil y costoso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Si se requiere mayor resistencia, facilidad de afilado y un tratamiento t\u00e9rmico sencillo y econ\u00f3mico, el acero 1095 es m\u00e1s adecuado. Es f\u00e1cil de afilar e ideal para formas simples, pero se desgasta m\u00e1s r\u00e1pidamente y es propenso a la oxidaci\u00f3n si no se le da un mantenimiento regular.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En t\u00e9rminos de cuchillos, el acero D2 mantiene el filo por m\u00e1s tiempo y resiste mejor la corrosi\u00f3n, pero es m\u00e1s dif\u00edcil de reafilar; el acero 1095 se afila f\u00e1cilmente y es m\u00e1s resistente en hojas sencillas, pero requiere cuidado para evitar la oxidaci\u00f3n. En t\u00e9rminos de herramientas, el acero D2 es m\u00e1s adecuado para matrices y punzones de producci\u00f3n sometidos a un alto desgaste, mientras que el acero 1095 es m\u00e1s apropiado para piezas m\u00e1s simples y econ\u00f3micas donde no se requiere una resistencia extrema al desgaste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-summary\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Resumen<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El acero D2 est\u00e1 dise\u00f1ado para ofrecer resistencia al desgaste y estabilidad dimensional en herramientas de alto rendimiento y larga duraci\u00f3n, a costa de la tenacidad, la maquinabilidad y el precio.
