Su resistencia al desgaste se debe tanto a los carburos de cromo como a los carburos de vanadio, que son m\u00e1s duros. Con un tratamiento t\u00e9rmico y criog\u00e9nico adecuados, el D2 puede alcanzar aproximadamente <strong>65\u201366 HRC<\/strong>. El S30V se usa m\u00e1s com\u00fanmente alrededor de <strong>63\u201364 HRC<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Para los usuarios de cuchillos, esto no significa autom\u00e1ticamente que el acero D2 sea mejor. Una dureza muy alta puede mejorar la resistencia al desgaste, pero tambi\u00e9n puede reducir la tenacidad del filo y dificultar el afilado. En la pr\u00e1ctica, la calidad del tratamiento t\u00e9rmico y la geometr\u00eda del filo suelen ser m\u00e1s importantes que la dureza HRC m\u00e1xima posible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-sharpening-and-maintenance\">Afilado y mantenimiento<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ambos tipos de acero necesitan buenos abrasivos para un afilado eficaz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El acero S30V se afila lentamente debido a la dureza de sus carburos de vanadio.
