La composici\u00f3n qu\u00edmica t\u00edpica, en porcentaje de peso (wt%), generalmente se encuentra dentro de estos rangos, aunque se observar\u00e1n ligeras variaciones entre las diferentes normas. Propiedades mec\u00e1nicas<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>El acero 9SiCr contiene elementos de Si y Cr, lo que le confiere alta templabilidad, dureza de temple y alta resistencia al revenido. Esto mejora la resistencia al desgaste y a la deformaci\u00f3n pl\u00e1stica. Al revenerarse a 300-400 \u00b0C, la dureza se puede mantener en torno a 60 HRC, presentando buena resistencia al desgaste y tenacidad. Sin embargo, este acero es propenso a la descarburaci\u00f3n, por lo que se deben tomar medidas para prevenir la descarburaci\u00f3n oxidativa durante el calentamiento de temple.
