Se utiliza ampliamente para matrices de troquelado, matrices de conformado, punzones, cuchillas de corte, cuchillas de cizalla, matrices de recorte y otras herramientas de trabajo en fr\u00edo resistentes al desgaste.<\/p>\n      <p>Su resistencia se debe a su alto contenido de carburos, especialmente a los ricos en cromo. Estos carburos le confieren al acero D2 una excelente resistencia al desgaste abrasivo, pero tambi\u00e9n reducen su tenacidad. Cuando la herramienta presenta bordes delgados, esquinas afiladas, carga intermitente o un control deficiente del proceso de electroerosi\u00f3n, el acero D2 puede astillarse o desarrollar microfisuras.<\/p>\n      <p>El DC53 es un acero para matrices de trabajo en fr\u00edo patentado, desarrollado como una alternativa mejorada al D2\/SKD11. Utiliza una composici\u00f3n de aleaci\u00f3n diferente, con menor contenido de carbono y cromo que el D2 y mayor contenido de molibdeno. Este dise\u00f1o mejora el endurecimiento secundario, la respuesta al revenido a alta temperatura, la tenacidad y la estabilidad del proceso de electroerosi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n      <p>DC53 no es un equivalente internacional directo de D2. Esto mejora la resistencia al desgaste, pero tambi\u00e9n hace que el acero sea menos tolerante a los impactos, a las cargas en filos delgados y al estr\u00e9s t\u00e9rmico del mecanizado por electroerosi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n      <p>El DC53 presenta una estructura de carburo modificada y un efecto molibdeno m\u00e1s pronunciado. No depende \u00fanicamente de un volumen de carburo muy elevado. Esto permite que el DC53 mantenga una alta dureza a la vez que mejora la tenacidad y la estabilidad del proceso.<\/p>\n\n      <h2>Dureza y comportamiento de revenido<\/h2>\n      <p>El acero D2 se suele utilizar con una dureza de entre 58 y 60 HRC. Se puede endurecer a\u00fan m\u00e1s, pero aumentar la dureza generalmente incrementa el riesgo de fragilidad y astillamiento de los bordes.<\/p>\n      <p>El acero DC53 suele alcanzar una dureza de 60-62 HRC, e incluso puede llegar a 62-63 HRC tras el temple y el revenido a alta temperatura (alrededor de 520-530 \u00b0C). Lo importante no es solo su mayor dureza. En aceros para herramientas con menor tenacidad o austenita retenida inestable, esto puede provocar microfisuras, filos de corte d\u00e9biles o deformaciones dimensionales tras el mecanizado.<\/p>\n      <p>El acero D2 se puede cortar con hilo con \u00e9xito, pero requiere un control de proceso minucioso. Las esquinas afiladas, las secciones delgadas, los ajustes inadecuados de la electroerosi\u00f3n y la insuficiente reducci\u00f3n de tensiones pueden hacer que el acero D2 sea m\u00e1s propenso a agrietarse.<\/p>\n      <p>El acero DC53 suele ser mejor para el mecanizado por electroerosi\u00f3n por hilo, ya que posee mayor tenacidad y mejor estabilidad tras el revenido a alta temperatura. Esto lo hace m\u00e1s adecuado para matrices de estampado de precisi\u00f3n, herramientas de troquelado fino, punzones complejos e insertos con perfiles estrechos o complicados.<\/p>\n\n      <h2>Recubrimientos y procesamiento a alta temperatura<\/h2>\n      <p>El recubrimiento PVD y la nitruraci\u00f3n suelen exponer la herramienta a temperaturas de entre 400 y 550 \u00b0C.
