El contacto con aluminio o magnesio fundido eleva r\u00e1pidamente la temperatura de la superficie, seguido de un enfriamiento durante la solidificaci\u00f3n y la eyecci\u00f3n de la pieza. Este ciclo repetido provoca fatiga t\u00e9rmica (fisuraci\u00f3n por calor). Al mismo tiempo, el flujo continuo de metal causa erosi\u00f3n superficial e interacci\u00f3n qu\u00edmica, como la soldadura, especialmente en aleaciones de aluminio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Factores de selecci\u00f3n<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La selecci\u00f3n se centra en la resistencia a la fatiga t\u00e9rmica, la propagaci\u00f3n de grietas, el ablandamiento y la transferencia de calor en condiciones c\u00edclicas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Resistencia a la fatiga t\u00e9rmica (prueba de calor)<br><\/strong>La fatiga t\u00e9rmica es el principal modo de fallo en los troqueles LPDC. Se produce por cambios repetidos de temperatura, m\u00e1s que por la temperatura m\u00e1xima \u00fanicamente. El acero debe resistir la iniciaci\u00f3n de grietas y ralentizar su propagaci\u00f3n bajo tensi\u00f3n c\u00edclica. Esto requiere una resistencia y tenacidad estables a la temperatura de funcionamiento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Equilibrio entre dureza y resistencia al desgaste<br><\/strong>El aumento de la dureza mejora la resistencia a la erosi\u00f3n y al flujo del metal, pero reduce la resistencia a la fractura. En las matrices LPDC, la falla suele producirse por agrietamiento en lugar de desgaste uniforme. Las matrices con esquinas afiladas, secciones delgadas o concentraci\u00f3n de tensiones requieren mayor tenacidad. Las geometr\u00edas m\u00e1s simples y las grandes superficies de contacto pueden priorizar la resistencia al desgaste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Dureza en caliente (resistencia al revenido)<br><\/strong>La exposici\u00f3n t\u00e9rmica repetida puede reducir la dureza del acero que carece de resistencia al revenido.
