El control de la atm\u00f3sfera durante el calentamiento es fundamental para evitar la descarburaci\u00f3n. Se prefieren los hornos de vac\u00edo, ya que previenen la descarburaci\u00f3n y preservan la superficie brillante del acero para herramientas D3. Durante el proceso, los componentes deben transferirse r\u00e1pidamente del horno al ba\u00f1o de aceite y templarse hasta que la temperatura de la pieza alcance aproximadamente entre 50 \u00b0C y 66 \u00b0C (120 \u00b0F y 150 \u00b0F), lo que significa que la extracci\u00f3n debe realizarse mientras la herramienta a\u00fan est\u00e9 caliente al tacto. Nunca permita que la herramienta alcance la temperatura ambiente antes del revenido, ya que esto aumenta significativamente el riesgo de agrietamiento. La dureza esperada despu\u00e9s de este proceso es de aproximadamente 64 a 66 HRC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Templado<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dado que la martensita templada es extremadamente fr\u00e1gil y est\u00e1 sometida a altas tensiones internas, no templarla inmediatamente puede provocar grietas. Por lo tanto, el revenido debe realizarse inmediatamente despu\u00e9s del temple. La pr\u00e1ctica est\u00e1ndar para los aceros de la serie D es emplear un proceso de revenido en dos etapas para transformar <a href=\"https:\/\/aobosteel.com\/es\/knowledge-hub\/what-is-retained-austenite\/\">austenita retenida<\/a> y eliminar las tensiones martens\u00edticas formadas durante el primer enfriamiento por revenido. El proceso espec\u00edfico es el siguiente: Calentar el acero D3 a la temperatura de revenido. El tiempo de mantenimiento se calcula en 1 hora por cada pulgada (25 mm) de espesor del acero para herramientas. Para mayor estabilidad, se recomienda un m\u00ednimo de 2 horas. El proceso requiere un enfriamiento continuo desde el temple hasta -75 \u00b0C a -196 \u00b0C, seguido de un revenido inmediato al volver a la temperatura ambiente para aliviar las tensiones internas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Problemas comunes y soluciones en el tratamiento t\u00e9rmico D3<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Agrietamiento por enfriamiento<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El agrietamiento por temple se refiere a las fracturas que ocurren durante o inmediatamente despu\u00e9s de la etapa de temple. Dado que el acero D3 requiere un temple en aceite m\u00e1s agresivo que el enfriamiento al aire, el agrietamiento suele ocurrir si los componentes se enfr\u00edan excesivamente en el medio de temple (por debajo de 50 \u00b0C) o si hay un retraso entre el temple y el revenido. Adem\u00e1s, las elevadas tensiones internas resultantes de un endurecimiento desigual \u2014donde la superficie se endurece pero el interior permanece sin endurecer\u2014 tambi\u00e9n contribuyen a este fen\u00f3meno.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La soluci\u00f3n consiste en asegurar un precalentamiento adecuado para minimizar el choque t\u00e9rmico y retirar los componentes del aceite cuando alcancen temperaturas tibias (entre 50 \u00b0C y 66 \u00b0C), para luego colocarlos inmediatamente en un horno de templado precalentado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Baja dureza<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La dureza insuficiente se produce cuando un acero para herramientas D3 no alcanza la dureza HRC esperada. Generalmente, existen dos causas: primero, un control inadecuado de la atm\u00f3sfera de tratamiento t\u00e9rmico, que provoca la descarburaci\u00f3n de la superficie; segundo, temperaturas de austenizaci\u00f3n excesivamente altas, que estabilizan la austenita, impiden su transformaci\u00f3n en martensita y dan como resultado austenita retenida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Puntos d\u00e9biles<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Los puntos blandos son \u00e1reas localizadas de dureza reducida en la superficie del acero para herramientas D3. Esto ocurre porque, durante el temple en aceite, se puede formar una pel\u00edcula de vapor con baja conductividad t\u00e9rmica alrededor del acero D3. Esta pel\u00edcula ralentiza la velocidad de enfriamiento de las \u00e1reas cubiertas, inhibiendo as\u00ed la formaci\u00f3n de martensita en dichas regiones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La soluci\u00f3n consiste en interrumpir la pel\u00edcula de vapor durante el proceso de enfriamiento del D3 agitando el ba\u00f1o de aceite o moviendo el D3, asegurando as\u00ed una transferencia de calor uniforme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Distorsi\u00f3n dimensional<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La distorsi\u00f3n dimensional se refiere a los cambios dimensionales o alabeos que se producen en el acero D3 durante el tratamiento t\u00e9rmico. Esto se debe a que el D3 es un acero de endurecimiento profundo, y la transformaci\u00f3n de fase de austenita a martensita provoca una expansi\u00f3n volum\u00e9trica; las tensiones t\u00e9rmicas generadas por un calentamiento o enfriamiento desigual exacerban la distorsi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"h-\">Existen dos enfoques para resolver este problema. Primero, mantener la simetr\u00eda transversal en la medida de lo posible durante el dise\u00f1o de herramientas y matrices. Segundo, realizar un tratamiento de alivio de tensiones despu\u00e9s del mecanizado en bruto D3 y antes del temple. Utilizar un precalentamiento gradual para asegurar una distribuci\u00f3n uniforme de la temperatura antes de alcanzar temperaturas elevadas y emplear un temple vertical para minimizar la deformaci\u00f3n.
